Went jogging in the morning with Larry at the little hill behind Sembawang town council.
Love to do work out and sweat.
Chat with Larry regard his life in IRAS.
Love the fact that IRAS have a national day concert for their staffs.
Love the fact that there r tons of activities organised for the staffs such as treasure hunt, nite cycling, charity program etc.
What a work life balance.
A big contrast to Pte sector - Come work, OT, fuck off.. Friday is a long wait .. pay check is what i look forward to every month.
Somehow, it is.. just not the life that i wan. So wtf i wan man?
:
Good or reasonable pay.
Staff cohesion activities. Not just work work work n bye bye.
Increment and bonus comes every year. The money is impt to me for insurance n serves as a positive push factor. Money is not a motivation factor.
Advancement opportunities and personal development. I want to acquire more knowledge and push myself to a greater height.
These sounds like i am leaning towards the public sector side.
On the other hand, i have the perception that pte sector's increment is much higher and bonus can go up to months! That will hardly be visible in the public sector.
Pte sector had wider learning opportunities due the vast client base of your company.
Normally work life bal and personal develop courses are.. kinda hard to materialise in pte sector.
Need to ponder really hard on my perferences and take the big step towards my next career!
